A Rosy Thank You

Finally, this week has come to an end. For a short work week it sure didn't feel like it. I'm glad this week is behind me! An embossing friend of mine sent me this gorgeous rose template by American Traditional. Along with the template she sent some samples of them done up in paste. Seeing I couldn't sleep last night I decided to give paste another try, I tried it once and failed miserably but working off some tips she gave me I decided to try again and this is the result. I started out by first cutting the rectangle out using a Spellbinder's die and my Wizard. I found this Anna Griffin rose paper that perfectly matched the design of the rose and I wanted to match the colors. Using Dreamweavers white paste I mixed up a batch for the leaves using burnt umber and fern Twinkling H2O's and Poppy red and Hot Cinnamon for the actual rose. Once it was pasted I carefully removed template and sprinkled some sparkling embossing powder on it. Then assembled the card.

American Traditional template
Lasting Impression Rub On
Lasting Impressions Old lace CS
Anna Griffin Rose paper
Twinkling H2O's
Dreamweavers white paste
Wizard and rectangle die
Marvy Mega Scallop circle punch
Spellbinders circle die
misc ribbon - Olive
Scribbles White Mist paint
Cuttlebug Swiss Dot embossing folder
Sparkle embossing powder

It's a rainy Saturday here so I think I will see what else I can paste up! Have a creative day and thanks for stopping by.

Well, I am not quite familiar with the pasting technique you used, bit it looks GORGEOUS! No flower out there is prettier than a rose. Great job! :) Kel
