Oh Deer

Good Evening, today's share is a super quick Holiday card made for a guy. I needed a non cutesy card for my stepson and this card seemed to fit the bill perfectly. The deer stamp is a retired PSX stamp and the phrase is from Gina K "Spirit of Christmas" set which I adore. The paper which is a perfect back drop for the card is from Kathy's scrap pile. I colored the deer with Copic markers.

Thanks for stopping by have a great evening.

Warm Wishes

Good Morning with a foot of snow expected here today I thought it would be a good day to share this card I made a few days ago. I absolutely love the Pure Innocence line by MFT. This one is called "Snow Days". This is the first chance I actually inked up any of them. They are perfect for paper piecing but mostly adorable any way you decide to color them. I colored using Copic markers. I am so glad my certified Copic Instructor will be visiting for the holidays because MOM sure can use some lessons :) I struggled to get the skin tones colors right. From looking at online tutorials for such I think I just need to buy more markers! Even though I have quite a few I never have the color called for in the videos.

Stay warm, have a great day and thanks for stopping by

A Dry Emboss Challenge Card- Joy

Good Morning, as many know I belong to a group of embossers (The Bossy Group) and each month we have a host who chooses a template and sends embossed pieces of same to members to create their own card. This month's challenge was to use L9507- Victorian bear in a holiday themed card. Since I had this template and never played with it I got to work to see what I could come up with. The paper is all from LI some of which has been discontinued. I used an ornament from a Cuttlebug folder to create the necklace. The buttons are just from my mass misc. assortment I have. After completing the first card I had an idea for another card which did not work out as planned. On the second card I attempted to do a mock cross stitch using a black marker. I think it would have come out better had I done the body in several paper pieced patterns like I originally planned but aced for time reasons.

Good and bad here are my two takes using the one template.

Have a BEARY nice day and thanks for stopping by.

What;s Cookin'

Good morning, I thought I would post early today since I have had this card to share for a few days but seem to be to tired to post when I sit down in the evening. This is another totally adorable stamp by Nina Åslund creation for October Stamps. I colored it using Copic markers and the paper is from scraps. The wording is a combination from Unity and CHF (Kim Hughes).

Enjoy your day, thanks for stopping by.
