Hi Nettie,

I made my mother a scrapbook page featuring her family when she was small and my brother and I when we were small. I framed it in one of those 12 x 12 shadow box frames especially for scrapbook pages.

Hi Nettie,

First of all, I totally love reading your blog. Ever since my mom introduced me to it I love it! I also have a blog, I've just started to write on it but I've instantly put you on my favourite blogs list. I can't tell you what I am making for Mothers Day because my mom visits your blog too and then the surprise would be ruined :-) My mom is Joan Ottevanger, see the comment above! :-) I can tell you what I love about my mom. She is truly amazing, always has been there for me, especially last year when I've moved out. (On Mothers Day I made the decision of moving out, I know, I really am a terrible daughter :-) ). She has supported me all the way trough my moving out with advice, help, support and a lot of painting doors and other stuff. She is truly the best mom in the world and I am proud to be her daughter!
Love,
Jessica

Great Blog Nettie, keep up the good work. I'm not sure what I'm getting my mom for Mother's Day, I'm sure it will be something handmade. Thanks so much for the chance to win.

You have a very nice blog! I wish I could make my Mother something for Mother's day but she passed away almost 8 years ago. I am a new Mommy myself(had a baby boy in Dec) so this year will be very special none-the-less!

First of all, I love your blog. Lovely work, I'll be back........
Sadly I no longer have a mum to send a card to, or make a gift for, but if I did I would shower her with love and gifts, she was the best in the world.

Congrats! You have a great blog with some amazing cards! Love the candy you are offering - beyond generous!

I will just make a card for my Mom. She's in a nursing home 800 miles away with Alzheimer's dementia, severe, and she just turned 67! She won't know who the card is from, but she will enjoy handling it and looking at it, so I'll try to make it bright and cheery for her.

Thank you so much for this chance at this great blog candy!

Congrats, Nettie!

Unfortunately, my Mom passed away when I was 16. And my MinL lives 1,500 miles away.

If there were here, I'd cook them a special meal, create a meaningful gift, and tell them how much they mean to me.

I've had a link to your blog from mine for-evuh ... but you already know that!

Congratulations on the hits! I'll keep it with a card and some flowers on Mother's Day. I actually already gave the real present in January when I took my mother on a citytrip to Prague. This was her newyear and mother's day present together. And we sure had a lot of fun!

great blog!! I am plannning on making my special mom an altered box with a transfer photo of us when I was little. she likes things to keep on her dresser, so this should make her quite happy.

Congratulations on your # of blog hits!! I am planning to make my mom 2 cards (one from me and one from my son) and also a picture frame. I've been inspired to try altering a picture frame from checking out Christina's blog at:

I am a regular follower of your blog too! I won't be able to give my Mother anything except a prayer. She passed away 3 years ago. I do however, have another special Mother in my life and that's my Mother-in-Law. This incredible woman is someone to whom I am in debt to for raising the best man I could have asked for in a husband, best friend, pretty much my everything! I already have a chocolate lovers shirt for her but I plan to do more in the way of card sets or a picture album of my daughter! I will have to add some chocolate somehow to the mix too! LOL!

My Mom is my very best friend in the world! I am planning on allowing her to choose her own gift for Mother's Day (as usual) - she is a quilter and I want her to be able to pick out the fabrics she wants instead of me choosing them for her! ;0)
Thanks so much for the chance to win!

I made my mother-in-law a cute file folder four pocket card, which I will post pictures of after I give it to her. My mom, I'm going to give her a heart pocket card or a gift card holder one. We both love to shop at Target and call each other when we are there. EVERYTIME I visit we make a stop at Target.

First off, your art is awesome! Yes, to me its art! I'm still a bit new to card making, but have you on my blog roll!

I too lost my Mom about 8 years ago. But what I do, is make a memory page dedicated to her. Because when she was alive, I always made her something 'handmade' to go along with a gift I gave her. I take an old photo from years ago and use it in making the page dedicated to her every year for mothers day. I know she smiling from the heavens at it! LOL!

For me I have 2 moms my Mom and my MIL who totally night and day. For my mom I will going about till the last minute trying to get the "perfect" gift because my mom is VERYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY hard to find the perfect something. On the other hand I have my MIL who I will be making her an album with pictures of all her grandbabies and she will be on the moon anything I make for her her eyes light up as if its the best thing in the world.lol To me she always gives me the gift instead of me giving it to her.. Her smile :)

What a fabulous blog. Definitely will add to my blog list even if you weren't giving away blog candy...which is very generous.

Reading over everyone else's entries is very touching. Reading the notes by those whose mothers are gone makes me incredibly more grateful mine is still a vital part of my life. My mother is 81 and is an avid card-maker. We sit side-by-side by the hour and make cards. She is a delight...such a sweetie. One of my gifts to her is helping her with an album of her highschool friends that she still meets with. Can you believe that!

Thanks for the chance at your candy. Congratulations on all the hits. Can easily see how you got them all!!

Love the candy, thanks.

Sorry I have to say my Mom is no longer with me either but I hope to celebrate Mother's Day creating something all the same.

Thanks,

Alison

Congratulations on hitting 5000! Actually, I see that the counter is currently at 5499, so that's awesome! I've added you to my blog roll.

I have already made one of my mother's day presents (I have a mother and a stepmom, so I get to make double the goodies!). I made a stamped tile, which you can see on my blog: http://quick2blush.blogspot.com/2008/02/stamping-tiles.html

I'm also working on finishing up my mom's scrapbook (all about my daughter's first year). And of course, two mother's day cards! Well, three, because I know I'll have to make one for my mother-in-law as well :p

I am doing a little memories book where I am using pictures and writting memories and special poems and thoughts for my mother for Mother's Day. She is such an awesome woman, I am so blessed to have her for my mother!

I just found your blog, you have got some gorgeous cards! I have linked my blog to yours. :D

We are a military family and rarely near family so mother's day consists of a mother's day card to my MIL.

Wow, what great little treats! I am SO behind with my blog hoppin' I almost missed leaving you a comment.

Well, I haven't made my mom's gift yet, but it will probably be something handmade, too. Last year I made her a Mother's Day album with pictures of her mom and her, me and her and my son and her -- not sure how to top that one *wink* I will think of something great though, because she is ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT! My mom is definitely one of my best friends (next to DH of course), and I love her dearly. She sacrificed a lot as a single parent for a number of years.

As for my blog roll, girl, you have been there for a while now!! :D Been in my google reader since I first found you and Kathy! {hugs} Kel

For Mother's Day this year my mom 82 years old) will probably still be in the hospital for rehab after the hip surgery she had last week. so....when she gets out we plan to take her to her favorite restaurant to celebrate.

She has always wanted on, but I think it will mean even more if I make it for her. ;) I am adding you to my blog list right now. You can check it out here:http://lizzybellsfrozendelights.blogspot.com/

Congratulations, Nettie on reaching a big milestone on your blog! I lost my sweet mother in '93, so what I miss most of my mom is her gift for listening and being a non-judgmental support to me and anyone who talked with her. Thanks for the opportunity to win your awesome blog candy!

LOVE your blog...am an avid reader and I learn so much!! This will be my first year away from my Mother for Mother's Day, so though bittersweet, I am sending her a gift certificate to her favorite Greenhouse ( She loves to plant flowers in the spring) and of course a handmade card. I will benefit from the flowers come July when I get to visit HOME for a week..YAY! Again, thanks for sharing your talents and knowledge with us!

Congrats on the hits! My mom lives in FL and won't be here for Mother's Day, but I will be sending her a little care package of blank cards for her to use, and probably a flowering plant she can add to her yard. She will be visitng at the end of the month so we'll go to dinner then too. It is BAD having her so far away but we are still very close.

My mom is getting a welcome mat for the new house they are building, a self inking stamp with their new address, and these cute glass magnets with my boys pictures and some scrappy goodness in them to put on her fridge!

The person who is a special mother to me is my Mother-in-law. She raised the man I love to be the man he is and I love everything about him (mushy - sorry!)!! She really is a wonderful person for more then just that! Loving and giving are two of her biggest features! I usually have to pick out her gifts so I already have a chocolate lovers tee-shirt (fancy with bling!), chocolate and a picture of her and my daughter (who looks just like her!) in a frame! My DH did pick out his own card! LOL! Thanks for the chance!
