Unity is in the House!

What is Unity you ask? A new stamp company debuting May 1st! It will change the way you reach for stamps their mounting is very unique. I was lucky enough to win some blog candy from them and had a chance to sample them. As part of winning I was asked to write a review for them once I played with them. First let me tell you about their awesome packaging. The package arrived expertly packaged and included a catalog of all their stamp kits. How evil is that! LOL I received two sets or kits as they are called. The "Doo Dads" kit was unmounted on a high grade static foam made to work wonderfully with their acrylic handles and placed inside a reusable little brown bag. The mounted kit arrived on a mounted chain and included a "B" handle and wood mounted Unity "Wish" kit.

I am happy to report the stamps are delightful to work with. I sometimes have a hard time stamping an image evenly due to some neck problems I have but I found this was not the case with these stamps. They stamped almost effortlessly. I think this is due to the deep etching of the images. The wooden mounted blocks glide into acrylic mount and lock in smoothly and once inserted stay put and centered. No more image chattering or ghosting. Stamps are great for scrapbookers and stampers alike and their assortment of kits are sure to please all. Their kits range from cutesy to artsy and everything in between.

The USA card was created using their Doo Dad kit. I created the USA wording using Sizzix "Lollipop" letters. I cut the letters out, mounted them on chipboard that I also cut out then sprinkled some star spangled silver glitter and topped with Ranger glossy accents to give it more depth. The red and white striped paper is from Lasting Impressions and I used TAC really red ink and midnight blue Memories Inks.

The Wish card I stamped the images on to a pale yellow leather like stock a speciality paper by a local supplier using Colorbox chalk inks Warm Red and Tangerine. I added some crystals and used Lasting Impressions papers to layer.

In conclusion, the stamps are easy to ink, lite weight, have their own unique storage ,and designs to please all. To learn more about the stamps, mounting and packaging check out their blog.
Now you know why I have not posted in a couple of days I've been off playing.

Oooh, Nettie, these are beautiful. I haven't been blog hoppin' in a few days either due to a busy schedule, but you got WAY more accomplished than I did. :) Kelly

I have to find the time to check out their site, too. Thanks!
