Embrace Love

I just love when you can make a card with a dual purpose. This card came out pretty enough to use as a Wedding card or an Anniversary card. Since there are so many weddings this time of year I went with spring soft colors and used Lasting Impressions "seaside" paper as my color choice. I first stamped the flower from my Stampin Up "Embrace Life" set using white pigment ink from ColorBox. If you have used this ink before you know it never seems to dry. Since I wanted to enhance the background a bit anyhow, I killed two birds with one stone by embossing it in seafoam white. Then I stamped wording and flower in brown, colored in image using a Copic marker that matched perfectly. I applied a couple of heart brads I found in my stash, mounted the wording on a piece of brown stock and attached all to complete.
I did say this was going to be my new favorite set from Stampin Up. It seems like it leads itself to endless possibilities. No matter how deep I put it in my pile of stamps I just keep pulling it out!

If anyone ever wondered why Kathy and I use so much Lasting Impressions paper it is because she lives not far from their warehouse and has caught some really amazing deals at their yearly sale. They have the best white core paper it is great for scuffing too.

I posted early today because I have a million ideas floating around in this tiny head of mine and as of lately I have been somewhat uncreative so I wanted to get this card that I completed in the wee hours posted so I can run off and put some of the ideas to paper.
Enjoy your Sunday and thanks for stopping by.... I hope you like my card today.

This is truly beautiful, Nettie! I love the colors and how you used the stamp in the bg stamped in white as well. I LOVE EP and use it when I can, too.

Btw, my computer is back up and running as of late Friday afternoon, just so busy updating stuff and geting caught up with work that I haven't posted to my blog yet.

Thanks for checking in on me though. I totally understand about ideas floating around in your head. I have a quite a few of those myself lately, but then I don't know which one to start with. Uggh! :) Kelly
