Happy Holidays

Happy Friday! After making the gift set I needed something easy to make so I took on a dry embossing challenge to create a holiday card. This card went together super quick. I was able to create it before I went to work yesterday. All the cs and templates are from Lasting Impressions as well as buttons. I used their software to create it then embossed it and layered another tree on top after embossing it for a more 3D effect.

I am so happy this week finally has come to an end. It has been horibly hot and humid here.

Thanks for looking, enjoy your evening.

Snowflake Gift Set Supplies

Good morning I have a few minutes before work so I thought I would write up instructions from yesterday's late gift set post. I used a single stamp set from Unity called "Snowflake Joy". I must admit when I first received the set after ordering it I gasped on it's size. It was HUGE for me anyhow not being a scrapbooker I wondered how I was going to put the set to use. Now, I am so thrilled I did purchase it.

Throughout the ensemble I used two basic pigment inks by Colorbox soft white and silver. I also used two sizes of clear crystals, not sure of their size.

Picture "Joy" Unity UK 102W stamp set
5"x7" white picture frame (Big Lots) no matte
American Express ad in a catalog I saved (muted snowflake background) cut to size.
White Linen cs from Paper Goods
ColorBox silver pigment Ink
Detail Silver Embossing powder from Rubber Stamp Store
Tiny clear crystals
Tacky Glue
Ribbon KL

Picture "Snowflakes"
Unity stamp
Silver 8" x 10" frame matted with 2-5" x 3.5" cutouts (Joann's)
Silver Mica cs
Colorbox Soft White pigment ink
Embossing buddie
Seafoam White embossing powder
Tiny and larger clear crystals

Candles
Jenni Mouer created a wonderful tutorial for stamping on candles. I used her basic instructions but since I used a pigment ink I first stamped image on to tissue paper then embossed it using silver embossing powder (listed above) before adhering to the candles. After completed I attached a little bling using Tacky glue and 2 sizes of clear crystals.

Gift Card
Unity stamp
Linen cs and silver mica cs (listed above)
Lasting Impressions brass template B258
Spellbinders die (Architecture set) used the window for framing snowflake.
Colorbox Silver pigment Ink
Silver Embossing powder
3/4" Circle Punch
Ribbon

Completed card measures 4"x4". As you can see from the photo just a couple of layers, a touch of embossing to create this simple matching gift card.

This set would make a great gift set for those wishing to spend less then $20.00.

I also purchased some stones and a clear candle plate at Big Lots to complete this set. Cost of each $2.00.

More Giggle Grove Cards

Happy Monday, I thought I would start the week with a little treat and give you two cards today. Since both are made with the same set from Unity and some of the same products used on both.

On both I used little 1/2" bubble stickers that I have had around here for years. Not sure who makes them but they all were on one sheet. I am doing my best to use some of my over flowing, had to have embellishments up! When it comes to embellishments I am more a hoarder then user. What about you?

Two different themes both made with the same set. On the one suitable for an Anniversary or Valentine's Day in addition to using "Giggle Grove" I also used wording from penguin set by Unity. On the "Summertime" one I used sticker wording from Serendipity Stamps. I love the print on the sticker and once applied you can not even tell. Also, on the summer one I used some flower eyelets on the tree and filled the centers in with 3D paint to give them more of a flower look.

Hope your week is off to a creative start! Thanks for stopping by.

Other Supplies
Cuttlebug "Swiss Dots"
SU 1/2 moon punch (for scallop)
Plastic template (sun)
Lasting Impressions cs
DCWV cs
Bubble stickers

Giggle Boldly

I said to expect more post from this fabulous set from Unity. I made 3 other cards with this set before I could put it down. This is one of those sets I almost have to hide from myself so that I move on to others! For this card which of course, was another Nettie quickie, I paired it up with some lime green paper From Lasting Impressions. Buttons on the card are made from linen cs and created using an older Spellbinder's die.

What I like most about the Unity line of stamps besides how well they ink up is their size. They lend themselves to be the focal point of your card or project.

Hope your day is filled with brightness - Thanks for stopping by.

Birdie Birdie

Good Morning! Today, I am playing with another Unity set that I fell in love with the first time I saw it. The set is perfect for paper piecing and I chose some accent paper from Me and My BIG Ideas (CP48). The color is a bit off as I noticed the background where I have stamped the tree, appears white when it is actually a pale lime green. For the cs I used Lasting Impressions "cinnamon". The buttons are also from Lasting Impressions. Once I cut out the circles for the buds on the tree and attached them I added some Ranger glassy accents to the tops.

Enjoy your morning and look for many more post with the fabulous set from Unity.

Let it Snow!

Funny story.... I was chatting with Kathy and happened to ask her if she ordered any stamps from Unity yet because she had mentioned a desire to get some just after I had placed my order. I found out she had ordered a day before me and we happened to order 3 of the same sets! How weird, mother and daughter thinking alike:) After seeing Kathy's adorable little penguin card I just had to run and play with mine! My completed card is a 4X4 with a lot less glitz then Kathy's but still very cute I think! I just love these colors together. I used turquoise DCWV for the base, Lasting Impressions pumpkin and black and white striped for an accent.

The penguin was colored with Copic Markers and I added some matching 3D paint to ear muffs then sprinkled with glitter and let it dry . Nothing real fancy just another QUICK Nettie card.
