Be Still ...She is Alive

Some of you may have thought I fell off the face of the earth. I have totally neglected my blog for too long. With spring in the air I thought I would spring into action and post a very easy "SPRINGY" project.

This project was super easy to create and practically cost nothing to create. I purchased the "Design A Mugs" on a closeout for .25 cents. I embossed some ovals (M-8) out of Lasting Impressions card stock . To make it looked chalked I embossed the words onto smaller black ovals and used a scuffer on them. Cut and embossed flowers and veggies to match. Inserted matching papers into the cup. To complete I added enough starter soil and of course included seeds and matching little notecard.

All paper, notecards and templates were from Lasting Impressions.

Enjoy and may your day bloom with happiness.

In case you have not checked out Lasting Impressions lately many more of my projects can be found on their new blog.

Good Morning, most of my followers know I have a fondness for dry embossing and love to incorporate into my card making. I love the added dimension it gives to a card. Oh Yes/No Another Blue Valentine

Hi Everyone, I promise this will be my last blue polka dot Valentine I share with you. This super simple card is just squares I cut to 1 1/4 squares, offset them a tad and stitched them. A simple sentiment was stamped on bottom to finish it off. I decided to add a button to lessen it's plainness. The heart template and paper are both from Lasting Impressions.

Thanks for stopping by, enjoy your Sunday.

Soft Valentine's Card

Hi, I did tell you how much I love this Smooth Sailing Paper from Lasting Impressions. Every time I go to make a card I seem to be picking it up. Here is a pretty simple Valentine's card. I stamped the greeting from a company no longer around
(Come Clean Designs) with Color Box French Blue chalk ink. I used L9695 and L9064 templates by Lasting Impressions (Hearts) and mounted them on a piece of white stock embossed with my Cuttlebug Swiss dot folder.

Thanks for stopping by, stay warm temperatures are in the negative numbers here ...brrrr

Bee Happy Sunday

Good Morning, happy Sunday! You can see I am getting a bit better on getting back to blogging. Today's card is one I made for a recent card swap which had a required theme of starting with the letter "B". This one worked out perfectly. I finally got to play with a template I have had for sometime but never used. The paper and templates are from Lasting Impressions (L1024 & S846). For the honeycomb panel I used a Fiskers embossing plate. The saying which worked out perfectly is an old discontinued stamp by "My Sentiments Exactly" . It is mounted to one of my favorite Spellbinders die the lacey square. The ribbon is from Michaels and button is from my stash.

Bee happy and thanks for stopping by. Enjoy your day.

Happy Heart Day

Today I started off to make a Birthday card for my SIL and instead ended up making this quick card.

I have been playing around with some new paper that I fell in love with. This paper is from Lasting Impressions and called Smooth Sailing. I just love the softness of it and have made several cards already from it. The paper is not new but it is the first time I have had any to play with. I paired it up with some scraps of matching blue card stock by DCWV. I finished the card off using L9456 template and a rub-on both by Lasting Impressions. Cute and QUICK!

I hope I have inspired you today.

A Dry Emboss Challenge Card- Joy

Good Morning, as many know I belong to a group of embossers (The Bossy Group) and each month we have a host who chooses a template and sends embossed pieces of same to members to create their own card. This month's challenge was to use L9507- Victorian bear in a holiday themed card. Since I had this template and never played with it I got to work to see what I could come up with. The paper is all from LI some of which has been discontinued. I used an ornament from a Cuttlebug folder to create the necklace. The buttons are just from my mass misc. assortment I have. After completing the first card I had an idea for another card which did not work out as planned. On the second card I attempted to do a mock cross stitch using a black marker. I think it would have come out better had I done the body in several paper pieced patterns like I originally planned but aced for time reasons.

Good and bad here are my two takes using the one template.

Have a BEARY nice day and thanks for stopping by.

Happy Birthday

I made this cute little card by using ne of my new Spellbinder dies "Lacey Squares". When I cut it out I didn't quite have it placed correctly and it created slits in top so I just threaded ribbon through them to fix up my goof up. The templates and paper are from Lasting Impressions and both the stamp on the inside (Tickled Pink) and outside are Stampin Up.

Enjoy your day, thanks for popping in!

Who's Batty

Good Evening, my eyes are crossed from attaching all the googly eyes! I may have gone batty!

For this card I used Lasting Impressions Sea Shore paper and an older LI template (L9443).
For placement of the bats on card stock I used LI software.

What a fun card it would be especially fun to mail it and see how many eyeballs stay on. LOL

Have a delightful day. Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Thanksgiving

Good Evening, just thought I would stop in and share a quick card I put together for Thanksgiving.
The wording is a stamp from Kim Hughes collection. This took more time to think of a layout then it did to actually make! Buttons and template are from Lasting Impressions.

I tend to not give a lot of details about my creations I let the card speak for me so if you ever have any questions as to the templates or products used to create ... Just ask I will gladly share!

Have a great evening and thanks for stopping by

A Simple Holiday Card

This real easy card was created using two of my favorite poinsettia templates from Lasting Impressions. I originally created the card for an embossing group challenge I will be hosting in November but liked it so much I decided not to stop at one! This design will be one of my holiday cards this year.

Thanks for stopping by, enjoy your day.

Acorns Everywhere

Today's share are a couple of cards I made for recent swaps. I was looking for something different to make when I came across the free acorn template by Kim Hughes created for Papercraft Magazine. The tag, buttons, card stock, leaves and acorn are all from Lasting Impressions.

I have an oak tree in my yard and I am picking up acorns by the millions so you might say I have acorns on the brain. Whom ever said a mature tree produces 20,000 acorns yearly has never seen this sucker! LOL

Have a great evening I'm off to the dentist to take care of my third abscess tooth in 3 months.

Boo - Anyone home

Boo, today's share is a quick card I made using on of my favorite Lasting Impressions Halloween template. I just love this bat! I had a sketch layout in my head and I just wanted to create a card using it. The card stock is periwinkle Brazill and patterned paper, is from Last Impressions. The "Boo" stamp is Penny Black. I just added a few buttons and some googly eyes to finish it off.

I thought maybe if I made my post shorter I would be more inclined to post more often:)

Have a BOO-TI-FUL day!

A Yummy Treat Box

Good Morning, I know it has been a long time since I blogged, way too long! I have been creating stuff but for the most part it has been dust in my house. I have gone on to tearing out a patio and completely gutting the room. I am trying to get it done before the cold weather sets in. I have made an occasional card or two which I will share over the next couple of days.

Today's share is from a template I have had for quite some time and always wanted to do something creative with it. When I saw Angie's greeting card kid's box I knew it would be perfect! She has some fabulous tutorials that she so generously shares.

I used the box to put together this little Caramel Apple Kit.
Inside the tiny box I tucked caramels, candy sprinkles, nuts and wrapped the sticks around an embossed tag and printed directions on the back .

All papers and templates are Lasting Impressions.
Other items used Spellbinders lacy rectangle die
Stamping Up word window punch
polka dot ribbon (unknown)

Enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by.

Extremely Quick Thanksgiving Cards

Hello, I'm back with another couple quick cards to share. These are a couple of cards I made last weekend. I haven't made a single card this week. This week has left me totally exhausted. There is a mad rush at work to get construction project completed before the weather changes. I absolutely hate the massive amount of work this time of year. I did not have the energy to retake the pictures so forgive the blurriness. I plan on playing around with this new camera over the weekend and get it right! I am determined to figure it out one way or another.
On the first card the saying is from Kim Hughes, paper from LI and I believe the leaf stencil is from Dreamweavers. I added matching ribbon and a button to accent it. Simple, Clean and Elegant!
The second card was created using all Lasting Impression supplies with the exception of the chipboard saying which was part of a Target dollar bin find.

Enjoy your evening/morning and thanks for stopping by.

See You Later Alligator

Good evening TGIF! I am so happy the weekend has finally arrived, this week has been awful both weather wise and at work, just awful. The card I am sharing today almost went to my boss today! I came so very close to quitting.

I recently received this template from Lasting Impressions and was surprised to find the perfect stamp in my stash to use with it. I had bought it years ago and finally got to ink it. Stamp is from Just For Fun. All papers are from LI. I distressed the edges and lightly inked them for a more worn effect.

If anyone was interested in buying any brass templetes, now is the perfect time. Lasting Impressions is reducing a large amount of inventory and offering them at 60% off.

Enjoy your evening, thanks for stopping by.

A Not so Spooky Halloween Card

Good Evening! Tonight I thought I would share an adorable batty card I made this weekend. This cute but classic looking Halloween card was super simple to make. The black and white paper from Lasting Impressions is one of my favorite. It adds just the right amount of black and white to give almost any card a sharp, clean look.
The bat template I used is another favorite of mine also from Lasting Impressions (L9619). The saying is a dollar bin find from Joann's. The rest of supplies are all Lasting Impressions.

Sorry for the short post, but I spent all evening picking up limbs and branches left from the last few days of high winds here . Now I am off to nurse my aching back:)

Have a Hallo....ing good evening!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you like today's share!
