Happy 18th

Hello Happy Friday the sun is finally and I do mean finally shining in Ohio. Today I thought I would share this fun, colorful and vibrant card I made for a special little gal who just turned 18. I swiped the paper from Kathy while I was visiting over Easter. The paper is embossed and adds so much to making this card adorable.

The stamp is from MFT. I paper pieced her outfit and colored the remaining using Copics.

I am headed out to experience what it's like to see that bright yellow blob in the sky:)

Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by.

Rainy day feel better

Good Morning, I figured I had better see if my account was still active!! For those still hanging in there I have been creating just not sharing much. Last fall I started to rebuild a patio due to rotted wood. I ended up taking it down to the studs and then replacing them. The weather prevented me from completing it and I am happy to say I just painted it YEAH!! .... I still have to put the floor down and do trim around windows after I complete it, I'll have to share some pictures.

I'm not sure how your weather has been but it has rained for weeks around here so today's share is a "rainy day" feel better card I created using a MFT stamp set. Clouds are also dies from MFT. Pattern paper is from American Crafts and called City Parks. The image was colored with copics.

Hoping some sun comes out so the grass can dry up enough to be cut.
Enjoy your day

Nice Lazy Day Card

Hi, Just wanted to share a quick card I made. It is perfect for the day as Kathy relaxes from her surgery. She said it was the easiest surgery ever! How nice, I mean if you have to have surgery to begin with, we all hope it will go well.

I have been playing with a lot of polka dot paper lately. I just seem to keep picking it up every time I go to make a card. I also, have started playing with my growing collection of MFT's "Pure Innocence" stamps. Aside from them being adorable, I think the reason I like them so much is they lend themselves to paper piecing so easily. For this card I used "Bedtime Story". The paper is from Daisy Bucket's and called "In the Meadow". I colored it using Copic markers and added some brown and white polka dot ribbon to complete it.

Relax and enjoy your day, thanks for stopping by.

Valentine Box

Good Morning today my share is a cute little Valentine's box I made. I covered a saved heart shaped box with some "Guava Dot" Lasting Impressions paper then sanded the edges. I added a band of paper from We R Memory Keepers "White Out" collection to the top. I cut out a giant heart from chipboard , covered it with same paper. After stamping this cutie from MFT and
coloring it to match I added some lace that I picked up at a garage sale for a nostalgic look to finish it off. All that is missing is some homemade yummies to fill it:)

Thanks for stopping by, enjoy your day!

Warm Wishes

Good Morning with a foot of snow expected here today I thought it would be a good day to share this card I made a few days ago. I absolutely love the Pure Innocence line by MFT. This one is called "Snow Days". This is the first chance I actually inked up any of them. They are perfect for paper piecing but mostly adorable any way you decide to color them. I colored using Copic markers. I am so glad my certified Copic Instructor will be visiting for the holidays because MOM sure can use some lessons :) I struggled to get the skin tones colors right. From looking at online tutorials for such I think I just need to buy more markers! Even though I have quite a few I never have the color called for in the videos.

Stay warm, have a great day and thanks for stopping by

MFT World Card Making Day - Challenge

I sure hope you all enjoyed WORLD CARD MAKING DAY! I know I did and I will probably be cleaning up from it for the next week. I only wish I had time to take on more of the super fun challenges over at Splitcoaststampers. I am not sure why, I was determined to take on a real challenge for me. Whenever pink is included in the description it's a challenge for me. It is one of those colors I just can't stand. After deciding on this challenge and having a lack of MFT stamps I downloaded their free digital set that Kim so generously offer for WCMD. The set is called "Think Pink". Having never worked with digital anything before this only added to my anxiety.... LOL This card took me forever! The challenge was to have pink, black white and some BLING.

You can check out all the entries for this challenge HERE

A Dog For All Seasons

Today I started out with the agenda of cleaning my craftroom THEN I came across a set of "My Favorite Things" stamps that had not been inked yet. The rest is history and I'm afraid my craftroom is too! I now need the clean house sweep people to come and but my room back together.

So my share today, has literally gone to the dogs, "Walking the Dogs" that is. Using
MFT "By the Seashore" I created a scene for all seasons because we all know a dogs got to be walked no matter what the weather is. I hope you like. Do you have a favorite?
