All Aboard!

Good Morning, I hope everyone enjoyed and was inspired yesterday by Unity's World Record Blog Hop. Today's share is another card created using Unity Stamps. When creating this I used the "Choo Choo", "Little One" and the Wild & Crazy Bunch set. Characters were colored using Copic markers, acetate was added to the windows and again I used the paper from Plaid "Summer Sophisticates"along with some scraps I had lying around. Looking at it now I should have used some puffy paint for the little smoke stack for added dimension.

Unity Inspirational Blog Hop

Good Morning, I am going to double your pleasure here since I couldn't decide on which card to share. This is a two- for- one hop stop!

First card : I am so in love with this newer set from Unity called You + Me = Happy . I colored it using Copic markers then paired it up wit some matching paper from Lasting Impressions called Sweet Tomato Dots.I completed the card using a little sewing around edge, adding a couple buttons tied with hemp before mounting it all on to Kraft cardstock from Stamping Up.

Second card: I paper pieced the Sweet Boy Jumper. This soft paper is from Plaid Summer Sophisticates series. The adorable diecut title added to the card is from MME. I stamped Little One from Unity's Wild & Crazy Bunch set using white ink and seafoam white embossing powder on to a Cuttlebug tag. I added a scallop edging using Fiskar punch and finished the card off by attaching a big white button.

If you can imagine it, you can achieve it; if you can dream it, you can become it.

One layout 2 Different Designs

Hi, Today I am sharing a couple of cards I made but haven't shared yet. I made the first stamped card using a favorite set of mine from Unity "Giggle Grove". It is one of my all time favorite sets there is so much you can create with it.

The second card was created after finding out a dear embossing friend had lost her beloved bird. For her card I chose the same layout but of course wanted a totally dry embossed card for her. The design used in the first card I thought was perfect so I cased it thus creating two very similar cards one stamped and one dry embossed. For both cards I used Lasting Impressions "Uptown Vine & Ivory" cs and buttons. I also rounded the corners on both cards for a softer look.

The Simple Life

Hi, being off work today I decided to have some fun and follow the Hip Hop with the Unity gals. After, blog hopping I was so inspired I pulled out a couple of my Unity sets to play with. This is what I came up with. To create I used Eco Chic and Simple Pleasures sets. I first stamped, cut and embossed the tree onto white cs then repeated only stamping inside a circle cut using Nestabilities. Coloring was done using Copic Markers. Nothing super fancy just a clean no frill card.

I so wish we had a hint of leaves on our trees here but no such luck. We are under a blizzard and got dumped on pretty good today I am happy I was off as the highway I travel was closed due to a 27 car pile up right by my exit.

Poinsettia Christmas

Today's share is another card I created yesterday. For this card I stamp the image onto wheat cs from LI using black ink, then embossed with clear ep. The images were colored in to match the PP from K & Company using Copic markers. I cut then out using Nesties. I used Unity's "Bitty Christmas tags" set but any tiny poinsetia would work. I embossed bottom of the card using CB 'Swiss Dots" folder. I stamped wording using Colorbox "warm red" chalk ink. I just love how it adheres to any surface it is one of my favorite inks to use. I think I like it because the pads are so juicy.

A Unity Holiday

Good Morning It's such a chilly dreary day I decided to pull some stamps out and see what I could come up with. At first, I thought I would work on a birthday card for sis but instead wound up making a couple of holiday cards using one of my favorite Unity sets. I really like the paper I chose for this card. It has a real nice shimmer to it and comes from The Paper Company "Snowflake Diamond". I think I might finally have a bit of stamping mojo back.

Showing Some Unity Love

Good Evening I hope everyone had a creative day. I decided to join in on this week's Unity challenge. This week's challenge is being hosted by Latisha from A Busy Little Craftee Bee. Her challenge was to make a square card with scallops. After experimenting and not liking yesterday's card, I hit the drawing board and came up with this card.

If you haven't used Unity stamps before I love how easily they ink and are great for paper piecing like it this card.

For this card I used the cake from Unity's " Simple Pleasures" set. The patterned paper is from

Reminisce "Sweet Spots". I added a little red rick rack and a rub-on from Lasting Impressions to finish it off. The card is 4.25 squared.

Christmas Gift Card Holder and Tag

It is late here so this post will be quick. I finally got my stamp room cleaned, YEAH! I feel so much better I feel. Creating in a clean room is so much more fun.

I created this Christmas tag and gift card holder using one of my new Unity sets " Bitty Christmas Tags". I just love how well Unity stamps ink up!

I used some polka dot lime green paper (unknown) that matches the ribbon perfectly. Colored the stocking using Copic Markers"lipstick red and new leaf". Added some stitching and a big red button to complete. After I took pictures (which sorry for quality) I will try to get better pictures up tomorrow I thought it would be nice to cut a slot in the envelope and pull the tag through so it can be hung from a tree.

Multi Purpose Challenge Card

Hello! Tonight's share is two-fold well maybe actually three-fold. The third being I got to use one of my favorite sets. Unity has a challenge posted this week to pick a card from a Design Team member and case it. I chose to case Maren. For my card I used S.E.I "Black Orchid" paper and since this card has a nice fat bow on it I'm entering it into Allison's Suggestive Sundaychallenge.

To create I did not have any matching dew drops for the card so I cut tiny circles from matching stock and placed it underneath a clear dew drop. After allowing it to dry I mounted both on to a button that I colored to match using Copic marker.

Trick or Treat Unity Style!

Good Eevening I made this card before finding out Unity has this adorable set up for blog candy. If you want a chance at winning your own "Little Monster" set hop on over to Brooke's blog quick! To create this quick card I used two Unity sets "Little Monsters" (witches hat)and "Flirty Flowers" (decorative circles).

Other supplies in case you didn't guess already include Lasting Impressions cs including pumpkin, grape,sunflower yellow and LI buttons. The moon was cut out using a circle die from Spellbinders.

Scrappy Happy Hello

Welcome to my Monday! I was all gong ho to tackle and conquer my overflowing messy stamp room but instead went straight to bed with another migraine. I found out a fellow employee who only recently became ill died of lung cancer Saturday morning. So, I decided to turn a crappy day into a scrappy day! I don't do scrappy well but waking up feeling better decided to venture in and see what I could get accomplished when I came across these Heidi Grace chipboard embellishments. I also had a new set of Unity stamps "Flirty Flowers" that I had to put away. There is always tomorrow to clean :)

Birthday Card for Mom

I started my day with every intention of cleaning up stamping room since things are everywhere. It is way over due for a massive clean up. I started winding up this roll for ribbon that I have had forever and decided it needed to be used right now! I hate that!

Mom's birthday is coming up and I did need to make her a card anyhow. I also just got an order of Unity stamps that were calling me so I created this very special card for her. This stamp is geared more to the scrapbooker then the stamper and challenged me to make it work for a card instead. I decide to make it legal size measuring 9 1/4 " x 4".

Stamp set used from Unity UK-167* Greatest Of Friends. Paper was Lime Green (LI). Bazzil Turquoise. These are not colors I normally would put together but they perfectly matched the ribbon from Michael's. I used Colorbox "frosted White" then went over it with seafoam embossing powder. I cut out a tiny picture of mom for center of flower using a 3/4" circle punch. Other items include Prima flowers, brads, Fiskar scallop punch.

Now I really really need to gear myself up to clean the room, anyone want to come and help?

Little Monster Take 2

Just a quick share on a card I whipped up this evening. The lime green paper is new from Lasting Impressions and I love the softness but brightness of it. I paired it up with some ballet blue cs from SU.
Supplies include... LI template, buttons and thread,Unity stamp "Little Monster", Cuttlebug "Argyle" folder, Rectangle and scalloped rectangle Nestabilities and striped limeade ribbon from Catan's.

The completed card is 4" square.

Little Monster

I hope everyone had a wonderful day. Mine started with a migraine and ended with a bigger one! I had made an appointment to drop my car off for what I thought was going to be an easy fix, after all it is a 2007. New cars don't go bad. I sat around the house all day waiting for a call to pick it up instead I got a call 15 minutes before we were due to go out of town (in my car) and minutes from when they were due to close for the day. They told me to come and get a loaner! My car is going to take a few days to fix. The main steering spring mechanism went bad. I hate driving a car that I'm not familiar with and not knowing where I am going. To top it off the car they gave me was red! Anyone, that knows me knows I have a huge phobia about RED cars! Luckily my trip there was uneventful with the exception of being told when we were 1/2 way there that we could not come home the same way. Now why could I not be told this beforehand so I could have looked it up. I was one ticked driver trying to make my way home some 100 miles away in one of the worst down pours ever of course, it was in the dark on a bunch of rural roads. Can you say super migraine!


This little monster sort of looks like me right about now with his bulging cross eyes and sort of green feeling. This cute set is from Unity and is called "Little Monster" I mounted him on purple and green Lasting Impressions paper. To give his hair and nose some sparkle I used Spica markers to color and Copic markers on the monster.

A Holiday Giggle

Good Evening I actually got out of work while there was some daylight left today. How refreshing! I just hope I can squeeze out another early day soon so I can take my somewhat new car in to be fixed. It seems the airbag light wants to go on for me. I am so afraid the sensor is going to make the sucker deploy and make mincemeat of me :) BG!

I have used the Unity "Giggle Grove" set for so many other seasons I thought I would try my hand at making a simple holiday card. I stamped it on white cs and embossed it using a rectangle die from Spellbinders. I colored the circles in leaving some spots uncolored using Copic lipstick red marker and added some Ranger glossy 3D crystal. The bird was paper pieced using some real awesome paper I had from Chatterbox called "Gingerbread Flowers" and for the green trim, bird wing and scallop circle, I used the reverse side of the paper. I know, what a waste! This paper is a couple of years old but I would love to get more of it. Love it!. I thought about adding some ribbon to the card and opted not to. Do you think it is too plain? "Merry and Bright" is from HA.

I am off to make some sympathy cards a few relatives are in real bad shape and mom just told me a friend has passed.

Snowflake Joy

Help! I can't seem to put this set down even though I must have a million other stamps screaming out to me, I keep picking up this set. This is another super easy card to create thanks to the size of this Unity set. I got to try out Kathy's method for distressing too. It works super!

The paper used on this card is from DCWV and I stamped the upper in white then embossed using my favorite "seafoam" white ep. I plan on adding a sentiment to bottom but did not have one from Unity suitable YET, notice the wording YET! I see another purchase on the horizon.

In the center of snowflake is a brad from Dollar Store that happens to match perfectly. The ribbon was in a dollar bin also at Joann's and has some silver and white woven into it. I may have to get more of this ribbon it is very delicate looking.

More Giggle Grove Cards

Happy Monday, I thought I would start the week with a little treat and give you two cards today. Since both are made with the same set from Unity and some of the same products used on both.

On both I used little 1/2" bubble stickers that I have had around here for years. Not sure who makes them but they all were on one sheet. I am doing my best to use some of my over flowing, had to have embellishments up! When it comes to embellishments I am more a hoarder then user. What about you?

Two different themes both made with the same set. On the one suitable for an Anniversary or Valentine's Day in addition to using "Giggle Grove" I also used wording from penguin set by Unity. On the "Summertime" one I used sticker wording from Serendipity Stamps. I love the print on the sticker and once applied you can not even tell. Also, on the summer one I used some flower eyelets on the tree and filled the centers in with 3D paint to give them more of a flower look.

Giggle Boldly

I said to expect more post from this fabulous set from Unity. I made 3 other cards with this set before I could put it down. This is one of those sets I almost have to hide from myself so that I move on to others! For this card which of course, was another Nettie quickie, I paired it up with some lime green paper From Lasting Impressions. Buttons on the card are made from linen cs and created using an older Spellbinder's die.

What I like most about the Unity line of stamps besides how well they ink up is their size. They lend themselves to be the focal point of your card or project.

Birdie Birdie

Good Morning! Today, I am playing with another Unity set that I fell in love with the first time I saw it. The set is perfect for paper piecing and I chose some accent paper from Me and My BIG Ideas (CP48). The color is a bit off as I noticed the background where I have stamped the tree, appears white when it is actually a pale lime green. For the cs I used Lasting Impressions "cinnamon". The buttons are also from Lasting Impressions. Once I cut out the circles for the buds on the tree and attached them I added some Ranger glassy accents to the tops.
