Birds Take Two

Actually, for this card share the title should be Birds "Take Ten" because that is what this card is! It only took me about 10 minutes to put together, that is of course after I came up with the design. We won't talk about how long that took me:) . This is another stunning bird set I purchased some time ago and never played with. It's by Memory box and I just love it. I love these colors together too. For the inks I used Memories "Soft Sage", Adirondack "Espresso" and ColorBox "Azurite". Doesn't it make for a nice soft palette?
Other supplies include buttons from Lasting Impressions, Stampin Up "... and many more", brown checkered ribbon, scallop punch , ivory and sage green cs.
Another easy card !

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out Kathy's blog. She has more yummy treats up for grabs!

A stunning Bird

The card may not be stunning but this new bird stamp is! I won it on Cat's blog. This stamp is going to make some stunning holiday cards once I get creative but for now you get to see the less then stunning version that I whipped up! A pretty simple layout but effective. The stamp is one of Inkadinkado's newest ones to be released. I stamped it using Adirondack "espresso" ink. The background paper is by Adornit "Carolee's Collection and the striped paper is from Sandylion Papers "Celebration Stripes". To brighten it up a tad I added some 1" wide peach ribbon that has been around here for awhile. Wording is from Stampin Up and one of my favorite script.
I love bird stamps but I seem to hoard more of them that I actually use but I don't think I will have that problem with this beauty.
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your evening.

Joy

Morning all, after seeing Kathy's colorful card I decided I would try and add a bit of color in my life. I have a super hard time using color but when I see her cards I think," why not"! This is my fragile attempt at using non traditional colors to create a holiday card. All papers, ribbon and template are from Lasting Impressions. The acetate is a gift from brother. The chipboard letters are from KI and I recolored them to match. The purple polka dot background paper is actually an envelope that I cut to size, it too is from LI. I thought it would be cute to do a snow globe for the "O" in Joy so I cut some acetate circles using the largest Spellbinder's circle die and as luck would have it for some reason it only scored the acetate did not cut through it. I think it may be the gauge of it. Brother works at a factory it may be a higher quality then most use, more of a vinyl. Anyhow I first created the scene inside one clear circle and sandwiched it between another after sprinkling some glitter inside.

Kathy's title is still in tact - that girl is Queen of Bright!

"Orange" you glad we are Friends

A little humor in the title, I couldn't think of anything catchy for this card. I couldn't sleep so I decided to sort through my punches and dies and came up with this card in doing so. The paper is one of my favorites from Lasting Impressions. I love orange and this is such a soft orange. It is called "creamsicle". To create I first embossed lower portion using a Cuttlebug folder called "aged wood" I think! The upper portion was covered with the creamsicle print, circles were cut with a variety of scallop and circle punches and dies and I used a newer template for the flowers. I added a bit of color with the lime green polka dot ribbon (another favorite ) and finished it up with a big button to match.

I have been neglecting my embossing buddies lately so this card is for all of you~ Enjoy!

Have a FUN Sunday and thanks so much for stopping by!

Quick Heart Card

Happy Saturday I hope you are enjoying your long weekend. Yesterday I went to my mom's for a picnic and had a fun afternoon. It felt so good to have an extra day off! It has been extremely warm here so I have been hibernating in my craft room (like I need an excuse to do that!)
Here is a very quick card I made for Sparkle N Sprinkle . This card or layout would look great with any companies heart even a dry embossed heart would look adorable. For this one I used the fabric heart by Sparkle N Sprinkle and went with red, white and black as my color choices because you can't go wrong with the basics. The designer paper is by DCWV called "text" and came in a mat stack. This card took longer to photo it then make it since the heart is created with some sparkling embossing powder called cherry also from Sparkle N Sprinkle. Other supplies used to create this card include Cuttlebug Swiss Dot folder, black & white ribbon froom Michaels, Spellbinders Wizard and circle dies, Giga punch and some 3D shiny black paint.
After several attempts to photograph , I switched from a white background to a black and then was able to get a good photo it seemed to deflect the light differently allowing for a much better picture to be taken.
Thanks for stopping by, enjoy your evening.

Merry & Bright

Happy 4th of July! Here is a quick share before I am off to mom's for a picnic. I made these cards last night for Sparkle N Sprinkle and it works for Kathy's blog candy share.

The first card I created by cutting a circle out of some Lasting Impressions CS , stamping and embossing the reindeer to the inside of card. I created a overlay panel using some red linen stock that I punch out using my mega scallop punch , layered under a panel I embossed with Cuttlebug Swiss dotsl. I masked off wording placing in different color 3/4" circles and topped the circles with matching bubble stickers. To the ribbons I added some minature bells I purchased at local hobby store. The reindeer was colored with glitter markers and Copic markers.

On the second card, never having played with attaching crystals before; I asked several persons and decided to attach them with Aleene's Tacky glue which seems to have worked out real good. To create I stamped and embossed reindeer on panels I cut to 1 1/4. I colored them with Copic markers added some glitter and Ranger Glossy Accents to ornaments and topped with some Bridal white glitter from Sparkle N Sprinkle. After everything dried I embossed edge and layered onto red and green card stock.

If traveling today be safe, enjoy your 4th of July festivities with your family and friends. Thanks for stopping by.

Sisters

Good Evening it seems like mother and daughter are swapping places this month. When I loose my creativity she gets hers. Check out all Kathy's awesome entries this past week if you haven't already. She is on a roll and she is offering up some blog candy tomorrow to kick off her Christmas in July month!

I wanted to put a plug in for Kathy so I had to post something! Mother's are so funny sometimes!

It really is good to see her back at it and see her creativity shine.

I thought I would share with you a card I made for DT of Sparkle N Sprinkle. I have been struggling with this card for two days and I'm still not sure I am happy with the layout. I did however, get to play with my glitter markers Kathy sent and also got to use some paper I have had for awhile. The polka dot paper has a nice softness to it and goes very good with the scene.

I layered some matching paper in the background. I really need to make up a supply list and have no idea who makes the paper. If you know please let me know.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.
