Good Luck

Hello, we did get all the snow we were expecting and then some. I have lots of extra if anyone wants some.

I couldn't wait to play with a new SU set I got so I came up with this card. Since I don't normally send out St. Patrick's cards (which this design would be great for) I made it into a generic "Good Luck" card. By adding a few buttons and attaching some 3 leaf clovers punch out of matching background paper it makes for a nice quick card and is masculine enough to send to that special guy who may be celebrating retirement, graduation , promotion etc.
Supplies Used
SU Sincere Salutations
SU Season of Friendship
Versafine black ink
Adirondack Espresso
LI limeade paper, green polka dot (unknown) as is the brown DP
Buttons
Armada clover punch
brown/white piece of scrap ribbon
Thanks for stopping by enjoy your Saturday. I'm off to see what else I can "branch" off into but I wanted to share this with you first.

A Little Monkey Lovin'

Hello, miss me? Sorry for the long absence I finally got off my lazy tush and decided to make a card. I bought a new laptop and have been spending some time learning it and loading it with all my needed programs. Although, I have been playing around with computers since they were introduced hubby has always been the one to install everything and fix what I blew up. So I'm proud to say I even managed to transfer all my email without losing any all by myself!
I still had all of my October stamps Kathy bought me for Christmas on my work table so I thought I would play some more with this cute monkey. I used Ranger "glossy accents" on the tongue and the heart. After allowing it to dry, I used some Lasting Impressions "Scrappy Rubs" for the wording. Completed card is 5 1/4 squared.

Supplies Include
October Stamp
Square Scallop Nestability
White cs, Unknown "Brown/Black"DP (swiped from Kathy), LI "Poppy Red"CS
Black thread, sewing machine
Red Buttons inserted with "vintage choc brown" ribbon
Copic Markers
Black thin tip marker
3D "Black" Scribbles
Ranger "Glossy accents"
I may have an extra play day tomorrow, we are suppose to get a foot of snow by daybreak. Sounds like a good day to call in sick:)
Have a great day, stay warm! Thanks for popping in.

Enjoy your evening, thanks for stopping in.

Simple Love

Simple "Love" card but is it too simple? I thought of jazzing it up with ribbon but thought with grouping the hearts in the manner I did, it created enough of an impact. This is certainly another ten minute or less make card.

Supplies Used
Cuttlebug "Swiss Dot" folder
Lasting Impressions L9457 template
Colorbox chalk "Red Warm" ink
Denami Design stamp
Paper: LI "Poppy Red", linen "white", and My Minds Eye

Have a creative day. Thanks for popping in.

A Rosy Birthday

I made this card for my mother in law's upcoming birthday. She is a huge flower lover so this card is perfect for her and I got to use one of my favorite flower stamps to make it. I bought this stamp at a garage sale long ago. It is a mounted to wood stamp but has no manufacturer on it. When ever I need to make a quick flower card I reach for this stamp.
I used Copic markers to color it and added a little glitz by going over some of the lines using the Spica markers. The papers used came from Kathy's stash ( I scored big while visiting)!! I am definitely putting some of the scraps to use since arriving home. Of course, I had to add a touch of sewing and a button to complete it.
Enjoy your evening and thanks for dropping in.

Bright & Cheery Valentine

Good Morning, while putting away some of the scraps I brought back from my visit with Kathy, I came across this boldly bright paper from We R Memories and had to put it to use. It goes so well with the red polka dot paper from Scenic Route.
Embossing and cutting hearts and circles out from matching cardstock made this card go together very quickly. To finish it off I added a few bright yellow buttons and had a card done in less then ten minutes.

Supplies Used
Dollar Store Greeting
Lasting Impressions L9182
Colorbox Chalk Ink "Warm Red"
Papers: White Linen, We R Memories, Scenic Route
Accessories: buttons, Nestibilites (circle & Rectangle)
Glue pop dots.

Today I plan on doing some laundry and curling up and reading my new Grisham book .Enjoy your Sunday and thanks for stopping by.

Enjoy your evening and thanks for popping in.

Love You!

Good Morning, unable to sleep last night and not wanting to watch another infomercial I decided to mosey into my craft room and put some of my energies to use. This is the first of several cards I created as a result. I have had the arrow template from Lasting Impressions for some time and decided to incorporate it into this design. All cardstock and templates are Lasting Impressions. I distressed and inked the edges using Colorbox "dune and brown" inks.

Cute Valentine

Today's post will have to be short, I have a super headache but still wanted to share another image that Kathy bought for me. I don't recommend using Lasting Impressions paper with copic markers. It took me a few different times coloring with my Copics markers before getting a 1/2 way decent colored image. I did not want to go with solid white paper though. Does anyone know of a off white paper that works well with Copic markers?

Supplies:Stamps: By Nina Aslund for October Stamps, My Favorite Thing, Stampendous

Papers:Lasting Impression, Scenic Route, polka dots (unknown) swiped it from Kathy's stash

Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black

Accessories: clear embossing powder, Buttons Scenic Route, pop dots, clear glue, Copic Markers, White paint pen.

Have a fantastic morning and thanks for stopping by.

Joy

I know this card is a little late but one of my New Year's resolutions is never to send out another yucky store bought card again. This is my attempt at getting a head start on next year. I also wanted to share a "find" I picked up while in Utah. Kathy saw the paper as ugly while I saw it as having potential for a QUICK card make:) The paper was marked down and is intended to be used to print invitations using a print program of some sort. It is called "Starlight" by Faux Designs and is pre-embossed by adding a bit more embossing using some Lasting Impressions templates and a little stitching, you can whip these up quickly. I am opting for the horizontal one as my favorite. One sheet will make two card fronts.

Thanks for stopping by and have a terrific evening.

Happy New Year

After spending a fabulous Christmas in Utah with Kathy and SIL I arrived home 50 lbs. heavier then I left! Kathy was the perfect enabler she obliged me by taking me to every scrapbook/hobby store you could think of. I found all sorts of things I couldn't live without. I struggled to get the box from the baggage area to the pickup zone. Does anyone feel sorry for me? I know my brother didn't when I made him unload it from the car:) . When he asked me what was in the box and I told him, his eyes just rolled!

I also gained about 10 physical pounds thanks to Kathy's baking skills and her lemon pistachio cookies. I guess my resolution for the New Year will be to go on a diet.

While waiting for them to wakeup one morning, I decided to create a Birthday card for sis using some of her stash. Determined to make it bolder and brighter then my normal dull colors. I came up with this color scheme but could not quite figure out how to finish it off until she joined in and found this perfect ribbon in her stash.

Welcome to a NEW year!
