A Mother's Love

Bonus Day- Two cards posted in one day! I still have my stencils out so I made this one using using Lasting Impressions "Summer Love" stencil and papers. I first stamped lined LI paper with a scroll stamp from Autumn Leaves in black ink. I picked up the stamp from a dollar bin at JoAnn's. This has turned into one of my favorite stamps to add accent to a page. I stamped Mother's Day "SU" towards bottom of card front. I added the embossed stencil and cutout from card pack to the front. I nked the leaf with sage green then curled it to give it more of an aged look.

Supplies

All paper Lasting Impressions "SummerLove" & "Elementary"

Stencil (leaf)988 Summer Love Stencil

Black Ink

SU - Mother's Day

Autumn Leaves - Scroll

Ribbon- generic

Heart paper clip- Oriental Trading

Spring has Sprung - Dry Embossed

Good morning it is another cruddy weather day here so I decided to brighten it up a bit and make my May Challenge card for a group I am in. Yesterday I made a real cute cheerleader card that I had intended on sharing but being the ditz I can be sometimes, I delieved it and forgot to take a picture. This card uses all Lasting Impressions materials with the exception of the Fiskar diamond template and sticker words by Serendipity Stamps. I normally shy away from using stickers but since I have a whole roll of seasonal stickers to use I decided to use some.

I hope you have a Sunny Day thanks for visiting.

A Quick Sympathy Card

Today it is a lazy hazy day around here. The weather can't decide what it wants to do. Before the weendend is over we are expecting hopefully what will be our last snowfall of the year. Here is a real easy sympathy card I made for my neighbor using the blog candy paper Jackie sent me from Basic Grey (Stella Ruby). I stamped the flower stamp on to a piece of acetate cut to background paper size using Staz-On Ink. I glued it down hidden behind the matching panel that I stamped the wording onto. To complete it I added some black satin ribbon.

Supplies
Penny Black Allegro stamp
Hero Arts wording
Basic Grey Stella Ruby paper
Black Staz-On Ink
Black ribbon
Cardstock, not sure what color you would call it!

Dog-Gone Birthday Card

Today was my brother in laws Birthday and I forgot so I whipped up a quick card for him. He is a huge dog lover and getting up there in age so this card was perfect for him. I did the old horizontal -vertical ink swipe to create paper using navy and country brown Colorbox ink. The best part of making this card is I got to play with my new Copic Markers!

Look What I Got!

I am so happy to have my computer back up and running. I had to completely reinstall everything. While we were redoing it we installed a newer version of Windows so of course, I have a ton of new programs to learn since my older programs would not work with new version of Windows we installed. I should be good for another ten years!
This card and the goodies pictured above arrived yesterday from Allison for winning a weekly challenge. Isn't the card the cutest! I just love how the paper and the ribbon matches so perfectly it certainly is the Cat's Meow ! I love all the ribbon and can't wait to put it to use. Thanks Allison! If you have not joined one of Allison's challenges you must, they are so much fun and it is great to see all the entries.

Computer Woes

Sorry nothing to share with everyone. My computer is on the blink... by blink I mean it's almost HAMMER time! :) The good news is I will have lots to share when I get it running and when I am able to access my program files.
It has been a real hectic week here so the computer problem is not the most important thing on the TO DO -FIX List. On Thursday, my husband called me at work to tell me his son; my stepson was rushed to hospital with a heart attack and pneumonia. Doctor said it was a mild heart attack. They are still debating what course to take in regards to it. It was not pneumonia but rather CODP. Yesterday my dish washer decided it has seen enough dirty dishes and died on me. We woke up this morning with no heat, furnace decided it had enough of this winter. Then there was a knock on the door (never a good sign early on a Sunday) a friend lost his wife to cancer on Wednesday. He stopped by to give us her calling hours.

Off I go to see what I CAN get working around here.
Enjoy what's left of your weekend.

It's Clearly Spring - Hero Arts Challenge

Happy Friday everyone! I want to send a big welcome out to all my Yahoo Stamping friends that recently subscribed to my blog . Thank you for your continued support, you guys are the BEST!.

As many already know, Hero Arts just recently set up a blog and I created this vase for their first challenge. It was somewhat a challenge in itself trying to setup a flicker account to parttake in the challenge GRRRRR. I have no idea what promoted me to take on this challenge or to do a 3D item instead of a card. To create I cut a piece of acetate to 6 x 9. Stamped design on the front with opaque StazOn ink then added flowers and buttons to the front. Added upper and bottom trim using Fiskar diampnd edger. I then formed it around a vase allowed Krazy glue to set and I waited and I waited LOL. To create the grass to go inside I took scraps (Yepee used some up) and put them through a cripper then shoved them through my paper shredder. To do the mirror image of the flower so that the backside would look as good as the front I used a HA shadow stamp. First stamping flower on it then on to the paper. I attached the flowers to the tips of some artificial stems I had around the house.
